Starting this academic year off was most definitely a new kind of challenge, first as a final year student and secondly as a student who is primarily learning via the portal of online seminars and lecturers. Scary right?
Well not as scary as a first imagined as I often used to daydream and worry about how I would safety get through the year without having a mental breakdown (lol). Its safe to say that this experience has been an interesting one, but still not without its difficulties. During the first term alone I've learnt a lot not only about myself and my resilience but also about the many different kinds of resources that the university has on offer. This takes me to my reason for joining this project. Often times as a new or prospective student joining the new and foreign world of higher education, many things can become confusing and ultimately overwhelming with such a large amount of information and resources available at the same time....it can feel like you're trying to find a needle in a haystack.
However with this project, it gave a direct way study resource for students to rely on during the uncertain time Covid-19 has brought upon us. With this project my main hope was to give students a form of clarity and a place where resources were easily accessible without confusion. So far through this project I've gained a better understanding on technology and how it is used for easier information capture
Why did I join this project? What do I aim to achieve/gain by participating to this project? What did I gain already? Does it match my expectation or is it different from what I expected? What do I want to achieve through the web site?
